Defective CW-3000 Water Chiller

So, the day finally came. I went to turn on the lasercutter and all i could hear was the warning beeps from the chiller….. Believe me, it was not a good feeling 🙁 My first thought was that there might be too little water in the tank, so i checked. To my surprise it did seem a little low, so i figured i could just fill it up and i would be back up and running. Well no such luck….. It was still beeping. So i rolled up my...

X700 INSTALLATION OF A MILLIAMPEREMETER

I have been wanting to install a milliamperemeter in my lasercutter/engraver for some time. The reason for this is that i haven’t been able to make the lasertubes last as long as they are advertised. I recently  purchased a Reci 100W tube, and this time i want it to last as long as possible. Here is a link to the tube i ordered. The machine is placed in my garage, and i usually sit in the next room while it does its thing… Even though i know not to leave the machine alone while its cutting, i have become pretty relaxed about the...

LASER ENGRAVING DENIM JEANS

I have seen other people having great success engraving clothing. After purchasing some new clothes i was ready to throw away a pair of denim jeans, so this was a perfect opportunity to try engraving fabric. I am glad i didnt use those jeans anymore cause when i tested with different power and speed settings i ended up engraving trough the pant leg. I ended up using 30% power and 200mm/s speed. I could (and should) use higher power...
